We can recommend and provide skin treatments that rejuvenate the appearance of the face. These services can help enhance surgical or nonsurgical treatments, and help our patients maintain a beautiful, youthful glow.
A glycolic peel is sometimes called “chemical exfoliation” or a “chemical peel.” This service uses glycolic acid to exfoliate dead skin cells and remove other unwanted debris on the skin’s surface. Glycolic acid is an AHA, or alpha-hydroxy acid, which is made from sugarcane.
A glycolic peel treatment results in a smooth and vibrant appearance. They can be used to restore a youthful appearance or to treat acne and other skin conditions. Finally, glycolic peels can stimulate collagen production, which results in a firmer and younger appearance.
The Obagi Blue Peel is a product designed for rejuvenated, tighter, and smoother skin. This peel is best for patients who wish to treat acne, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, or sun damage. The Obagi Blue Peel uses slow-acting TCA (trichloroacetic acid) to exfoliate dead skin cells. The treatment can be completed in less than an hour. The skin will begin to peel within two to three days following treatment, and complete healing and final results are visible within a week to ten days.
Dermabrasion uses a handheld device to gently remove dead skin cells using an abrasive, yet gentle, surface. The treatment is suitable for all skin types and improves the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, age spots, and other skin concerns. Dermabrasion is minimally invasive and there are virtually no side effects. The treatment takes about an hour on average and there is no downtime.
