Don’t pick your implant size based on how you would like to buy your bras or what size your friend got during her breast augmentation.
When choosing the size of your breast implants, it is more important to consider your body’s anatomy rather than your desired cup size. Often women think in terms of cup sizes because of buying bras. Cup sizes can vary from brand to brand so when you select an implant you will want to consider the proportions of your body, shoulder and hip width, height, weight and your current breast size.
Implant sizes vary based on the amount of fluid or gel in the implant. An implant can be as small as 125cc – which may be just right for correcting asymmetry but when a patient is trying to achieve a fuller bust line, the implant may be 300cc, 400cc or more.
At our offices, you will be able to “try on” different implant sizes, see different implant profiles and browse through pictures to help you select the best size for your body.
