Rhinoplasty is typically performed as an outpatient procedure, under either general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. An incision will be made on the inside of the nose or on the strip of tissue that separates the nostrils. Then, according to your goals, bone or cartilage will be removed to reduce the size of the nose or reshape it, or a cartilage graft might be added.
